Associative Economics
Rudolf Steiner's approach to economics is often described as associative. This indicates that in a single global economy, as distinct from a world of national economies, human beings must together take responsibility for and give direction to their economic undertakings, mindful of all stakeholders but also of the world economy as a whole. This contrasts with the approach of market economics, which delegates the conduct of economic life to market forces and regards 'the wisdom of the market' as the touchstone for what is right to do.
