150 Jahr Anthroposophie

February 27th, 2011

Creating instead of Officiating

Today there are more than 900 schools, 1080 kindergartens, 300 health pedagogical establishments and 60 institutes for teacher education in over 50 countries based on Rudolf Steiner’s education worldwide.

The aim is to foster initiative and social responsibility

The ideal of every Rudolf Steiner School, whether n the Favelas of Sao Paulo or on the Jakobsberg in Basel, is to operate autonomously under the sovereign guidance of a board of active teachers.

Only someone learning can teach others how to learn

The ongoing study of education forms the basis for the practice of anthroposophical education. This again is based on the global understanding of professional teachers who bear responsibility within the Goetheanum School of Spiritual Science. In the weekly teacher conferences in the individual schools as well as the numerous interregional meetings a permanent exchange of work and research takes place.
