The School of Spiritual Science
The task of the School of Spiritual Science is to conduct spiritual research, and to stimulate, coordinate and offer further training in anthroposophically orientated fields of work. The School is nowadays divided into a general anthroposophical Section and ten specialist Sections.
Its work is based on the spiritual science classes which Rudolf Steiner gave to School members in 1924, in the context of its “First Class” (“Class Lessons”).
Conditions of membership of the School are: familiarity with the foundations of anthroposophy, meditative practice as taught by anthroposophical spiritual science, the willingness to collaborate and commitment on behalf of the Anthroposophical Society as well as consciously to represent anthroposophy.
The School’s headquarters and coordination centre are at the Goetheanum, while the work takes place in the contexts in which School members are involved.
