Practicums

If you do not have an appropriate training behind you, you can gain insight into the nature of the work by doing a practical or a period of social service.

Voices

"The most intense and lasting impression of the entire practical was the tremendous differences between the children. Nowhere else have I found such unique individuals as here. The special thing about these children with disabilities is that they simply were able to be themselves. It became clear to me that one could not just fit them into some norm, or make them bow to some system – perhaps because they could not do it if they tried – but for whatever reason, they not only impressed me with their individuality, but also made me aware of the mass conformism we are all engaged in and to the danger that the individuality of each of us allows itself to be cast into a single mould."
